About Andrea Dahlén
California-born, Scandinavian-bred and now Copenhagen-based, I identify as a Swedish-speaking Finn (think Moomin). A belief in good design and sustainable, creative solutions has been a common thread throughout my international upbringing, studies and various work experiences. As a highly empathetic person, I strive to bring value to people’s lives.
I studied design at Chelsea College of Arts, Design Management at Parsons the New School of Design, Sustainable Purchasing at Copenhagen School of Design & Technology and completed an MA in Design & Environment at Goldsmiths, University of London.
I have over 10 years of experience in digital, design and communications, having worked at Designit, Carbon Trust, NHS, Dentsu Aegis and Shelter. In my most recent role was Digital Lead at Shelter Scotland, the UK’s leading homelessness charity, I brought my knowledge, international background and expertise to an in-house team working with people for the promotion of a basic human right: a safe home to live in.
